CONTINUING

EDUCATION

In every two-year cycle all mediators must take 16 continuing education credits.  Of those 16, one needs to complete 4 hours of ethics, 2 hours of interpersonal violence (family mediators must take 4 hours), and 1 hour of diversity/cultural awareness. While any two of our four tracks will fulfill your 16 necessary CME's, our track 3 focuses on the workplace.  In addition,  we have provided in Track I a 3.0 marketing/technology workshop which will be invaluable in building your practice.

MANDATORY CME AND MARKETING FOR ALL MEDIATORS

This track emphasizes a three-hour workshop on marketing/technology:  from the basics to learning your "niche" and skill-building.

Enhance your communication skills with listening and responding techniques; effectively dealing with the prose mediation participant.

CONFLICT AND THE WORKPLACE

From "A to Z": What Happens in Workplace Mediation; a dynamic discussion of ethical considerations; an interactive discussion and exercise in "Mindfulness," and the real role of Caucus in the mediation process.

CHANGING PERSPECTIVES & THE MEDIATOR'S TOOLBOX

Understanding the unique needs within the scope of mediation of the LGBTQ community; group exercises; effective Opening Statements for presuit and filed cases; interactive discussion of high-conflict cases.

Our four and a half hour program is designed to approve you as a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator.  You do not have to be an attorney to be Qualified.
